On Thursday, November 27, the president of the Consorzio Turistico Media Valtellina, Marcella Pini, and the director, Pierluigi Negri, presented the annual financial performance and the main activities carried out during the usual shareholders' meeting.
The budget revealed a record balance of 2,193,400 euros, with a profit increasing to 11,296 euros.
The full board of directors of the Consorzio was present at the assembly, along with several mayors from the area, the budget assessor of the Comunità Montana, the president of the Impianti di Aprica, and numerous representatives from the activities and associates.
Among the highlights was the presentation of the new campaign “Discover Tirano and the Municipalities of the Media Valtellina: you will want to stay for days” and the completely renewed portal www.tirano-mediavaltellina.it, a streamlined and updated website in its graphic design, which collects the main summer and winter outdoor experiences and offers an enhanced showcase for the activities of the associates.
Since the summer, the new newsletter service has also been active, aimed at tourists and operators in the area. Promotion and coordination activities on digital channels continue steadily, with the production of new video materials dedicated to social media.
Numerous results have been achieved by the Cycle Tourism Project of the Province of Sondrio, entrusted to the coordination of the Consorzio Turistico: the project continues to register significant growth, with a strong presence of foreign tourists choosing the province to explore it on two wheels.
The project “Antica Pieve di Mazzo”, which over the last three years has connected the Municipalities of Mazzo di Valtellina, Tovo di Sant’Agata, and Lovero through free summer guided tours to discover the local cultural heritage, will also see the entry of the Municipalities of Sernio and Vervio starting next year.
Excellent results have also been achieved in the management of the Villa Visconti Venosta di Grosio, which has experienced the highest influx of visitors ever, also thanks to the joint promotion with the Parco delle Incisioni Rupestri and the church of San Giorgio. A success that confirms the significant appeal of the cultural offer and the ability to retain visitors in the area, networking its wonders.
The management of the Infopoints has once again represented a pillar of the Consorzio's activities this year: the Infopoint of Tirano remains the most visited in the entire Province of Sondrio, thanks to its strategic location and the strong attraction of the Trenino Rosso del Bernina. The Infopoints of Aprica, Teglio, and Grosio have played a central role in welcoming visitors and collaborating with local associations for event organization.
Support for accommodation facilities in the Tirano area has been fundamental through the Tourist Observatory, which has ensured a detailed analysis of flow patterns, useful for defining future strategies.
The assembly also confirmed the active collaboration with all twelve Municipalities in the area and approved the following points on the agenda:
slight adjustment of membership fees;
appointment of the new board of auditors;
approval of the budget and the president's report.
