One step after another, along the Sentiero Valtellina, to remember how important it is to take care of oneself. This year, the Camminata in Rosa, promoted by the Associazione Amazzoni ODV, colored the Media Valtellina pink, from Sondalo to Tirano, transforming a beautiful autumn Sunday into a day of movement, smiles, and awareness. The new formula of the 2025 edition, starting from Sondalo with stops featuring refreshment points along the route, immediately found enthusiastic support, recording a true boom in participation: about 180 walkers and numerous volunteers, for a total presence of over 200 people who shared the joy of walking together for a common goal.
From the morning, the Cittadella dello Sport in Sondalo was filled with smiles and enthusiasm, welcoming participants ready to experience a special day. At the welcome stand, everyone received a branded backpack with the personalized “Amazzoni” t-shirt and was able to recharge with a rich breakfast at Bar Palasport. Before the ribbon cutting, which officially kicked off the pink caravan, the welcome greetings were given by the president of the Associazione Amazzoni ODV, Giuseppina Osmetti, and by councilors Luca Della Valle and Beatrice Arighi, followed by speeches from the testimonials: the young promises of biathlon from the Comité FISI Alpi Centrali, Anna Occhi, Rini Maria Angelica, Andreola Camilla, and Rachele, accompanied by coach Michela Andreola and Dr. Giulio Rossi, head of Sports Medicine at Ospedale Morelli in Sondalo. Their words reminded everyone of the value of determination and the importance of physical activity for daily well-being and health. To make the atmosphere even more cheerful, there was the presence of Taneda, the friendly mascot of Alta Valtellina and symbol of the 2026 Olympics, who brought smiles and joy, renewing the strong bond between territory and sport.
Step by step, the route transformed into a true journey of friendship and solidarity. From the refreshment stop at Grosotto, to the lunch break at Parco dell’Adda in Lovero, to the festive arrival in Piazza Cavour in Tirano, the day was a celebration of colors, music, and sharing, where the pink thread of prevention crossed the valley bringing with it energy and hope. The Camminata in Rosa was not a race but an act of love for life: an invitation to move, to care for oneself, to take time for oneself and for others. Each participant was able to experience the day at their own pace, but with a single objective in their hearts: to walk together for prevention. The final moment, in Piazza Cavour in Tirano, was accompanied by music and greetings from Mayor Stefania Stoppani and the final thanks from the president of the Amazzoni: “Besides the theme of prevention, which united various locations and communities, what filled our hearts was the synergy between the different realities of the territory. Working together, united in the sign of prevention, is our greatest strength. Heartfelt thanks to the many participants (the true protagonists of the day), to the Entities, the associations that supported us, the volunteers, and the young testimonials, who with their enthusiasm brought freshness, energy, and hope. Every step today is a step towards a more aware, united, and supportive future.”
The initiative was made possible thanks to the support of the municipalities of Sondalo, Grosotto, Lovero, and Tirano and the collaboration of local associations that participated with enthusiasm and generosity: APT Sondalo, Avis Sondalo, Gruppo Donatori Sangue Tirano, Aido Gruppo Intercomunale Tirano, and Associazione Nordic Walking Valtellina, as well as private sponsors who contributed with products and donations. See you in 2026, with the same spirit: walking together to remind that prevention is our strength.
