Debuts “Sondalove beer”: a journey through craft beer, flavors of Valtellina, in the historic center of Sondalo

Sondalo (SO), Summer 2025 – A breeze of novelty blows through Alta Valtellina, filled with scents and flavors where beer is passion, Valtellina is home, and summer… is all to be enjoyed!

On Saturday, August 23, the first edition of “SondaLOVE Beer” will be launched, an event that celebrates Valtellinese craft beer and the local gastronomic tradition in a route yet to be discovered, in the heart of the historic center of Sondalo.

The initiative arises from the collaboration between APT Sondalo and Beertellina, the association that gathers enthusiasts and Valtellinese craft breweries, with the support of APF Valtellina and Butéga Valtellina, entities active in promoting the area and its excellences. The goal is simple yet ambitious: to offer an experience filled with authentic flavors, music, history, and conviviality.

The journey will unfold through hidden courtyards, charming alleys, and picturesque views, leading participants to discover eight stations with a curated selection of the best local labels poured directly by master brewers, along with four food points, where traditional dishes made with genuine local ingredients can be tasted.

To make the atmosphere even more engaging, there will be music, entertainment, exhibitions, and installations, along with a special display of vintage vehicles and license plates, created in collaboration with the Valtellina Oldtimers association. A truly widespread celebration that will culminate in a grand evening in the historic square, animated by live music, DJ sets, and a refreshment area and bar signed by BeerTellina.

The event will begin at 6:00 PM with the opening of the reception point, where it will be possible to collect the BeerPass, which allows access to the stands along the route, including a tasting kit. Collection will be available until 8:30 PM.

The BeerPass can be purchased in advance at a discounted price until August 19, for 30 euros, while the full price will be 35 euros and can be bought at the InfoPoint of Sondalo or online at the sites www.sondaloturismo.it and www.bormio.eu. Passes will also be available for purchase on the day of the event, subject to availability.

Route stages: 4 beer stations and 4 food stations with Valtellina specialties: Charcuterie and cheese platter “Unique and not typical” - Valtellinese gnocchetti with buckwheat - Valtellinese hamburger with potatoes – Panna cotta with dark beer jelly and crumble.

“SondaLOVE Beer” is more than an event: it is an invitation to rediscover the beauty of the places, to share authentic flavors, to meet amid music, beer, and tradition in a welcoming festive atmosphere in the square. An experience designed for residents, tourists, and enthusiasts, to be lived with heart… and with a glass in hand.
