In Sondalo, the magic of Gabinàt returns: a day of tradition, games, and a great ice show with an Olympic theme

On Monday, January 5, 2026, Sondalo comes alive for the traditional Gabinàt festival, with great anticipation for the absolute preview of the show "Waiting for the Olympics... on Ice".

Tradition, fun, and the Olympic spirit will come together in one unmissable event. On Monday, January 5, 2026, Sondalo celebrates Gabinàt Sondalin, the historic "Night of Gifts" that has been bringing joy and pure magic to children for generations.

The event, promoted by APT Sondalo in collaboration with local entities, offers a rich program that will accompany families from the early afternoon until the exciting evening on ice.

The Day's Program

• 2:00 PM – Waiting for Gabinàt! (Primary School Square): It starts with the delivery of the stockings and the show "La befan vien..." with Carol. Baby dance and games curated by the "Gruppo Animando" to warm up the atmosphere.
• 3:00 PM – Gabinàt Hunt!: At the sound of the bells, the fun "Gift Hunt" will begin through the streets of the village. Three stops filled with games to try to win the precious Gabinàt.
• 4:00 PM – Party and Arrival of the Befana (Cittadella dello Sport Meeting Room): Snack and entertainment while waiting for the most anticipated guest: the Befana herself!

Absolute Preview: Waiting for the Olympics... On Ice

At 5:00 PM, at the PalaGhiaccio rink of the Cittadella dello Sport, there will be the grand finale of the event with a show, in absolute preview, dedicated to the arrival of the Olympics in Valtellina. The athletes of "OSA on ICE" Valtellina Artistic Skating will return to perform in Sondalo to enchant the audience with the magic and elegance of artistic skating, in the performance “Waiting for the Olympics... On Ice” which will celebrate the spirit of the five rings.

Gabinàt Sondalin: an open opportunity for everyone to experience the eve of Epiphany, immersed in the warmth of the Sondalina community.
