The second weekend of Gustosando in Valtellina featured not only Traona, which continued its itinerary among ancient cellars and vineyards, but also Talamona, which came into play with a route through its ancient courtyards. Two municipalities, two different yet complementary proposals, which enriched the experience of visitors despite the not-so-great weather on Saturday.
The next weekend is enriched with three appointments, as alongside Talamona it will be the turn of two other villages in the Mandamento. Buglio in Monte, returning to the event, offers a route where the public can discover seven historic cellars and characteristic views. Traditional performances, a wooden sculpture exhibition, and two photographic exhibitions will enhance it, respectively at the Passaggio Parravicini and at the Corte di Buglio, the latter featuring film photographs by Michela Menon. In the Orobie village of Albaredo per San Marco the itinerary winds through alleys and courtyards with various proposals of typical products. There will also be festive moments thanks to musical performances by Music & Friends and De Beat, as well as various entertainments like the Ecomuseum with the Metaborgo which will be open to the public.
“Quality-wise we are pleased to say that the wines, foods, and hospitality of each cellar were highly appreciated – thus intervenes the Pro Loco di Talamona – and many compliments have reached the entire staff. We are happy that the enhancement of local products and the collaboration with Talamona's shops and restaurants have added an extra touch to our dishes. The bad weather on Saturday was not helpful, but given the good reviews, we are optimistic for October 4 and 5.”
“The second weekend ended positively – says Giorgio Arietti, President of the Pro Loco Traona –. Despite the bad weather on Saturday, attendance was good both among those who had reservations and those who purchased day passes, and the same thing happened on Sunday with the beautiful weather. Participants expressed very positive feedback, in some cases noting an improvement compared to 2024. The tour among the terraces received great appreciation, and a special thanks goes to the Arcol winery for the hospitality and quality tastings offered. In general, a positive signal for Traona and the area thanks to significant numbers and the satisfaction of the participants.”
