From May 21 to 24, 2025, an art exhibition “Feeling at Home - Internal and External Landscapes: a Journey Inside and Outside the Home to Explore Oneself” will be held in Sondalo, at the Meeting Room of the Multifunctional Center. The initiative, organized by ASST Valtellina Alto Lario and the Municipality of Sondalo, stems from the 2024 Art Therapy Laboratory promoted by the Psycho-Social Center of Bormio, under the guidance of art therapist Elena Pedranzini, and represents an opportunity for meeting between art, community, and care pathways.
The works on display are the result of an intense creative and expressive journey that involved users of the CPS, who worked around the theme of “home” as a physical, emotional, and symbolic place. The exhibition proposes a journey inside and outside oneself, where the represented landscapes – real or imaginary – become tools to explore one's inner world and share personal experiences. The exhibition will be an opportunity to approach a dimension of art that is not only aesthetic but also care, listening, and possibility. An invitation to be touched by the stories of others and to reflect on the deep meaning of feeling welcomed.
The inauguration is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, at 4 PM, on the occasion of the last meeting of the “Accompanying, Supporting, and Walking Together” series, promoted by the Municipality, Planning Office, and Coop. Stella Alpina, which will focus on Being Close to Fragile People: Experiences and Areas of Solidarity Participation in the Local Community. The exhibition will then be open for visits on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 from 3 PM to 6 PM, with the mornings reserved for schools, and on Saturday 24 with extended hours: from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 4 PM to 8 PM. Admission is free.
The closing day, Saturday 24, will be enriched by a special event: starting at 7 PM, at the tent structure adjacent to the exhibition, there will be a dinner open to all, featuring dishes from Roman gastronomy, at the Spring Party promoted by APT Sondalo, a moment of celebration and sociality that will also see the participation of the band “I Dépôt,” a group formed within the Mental Health Services of Sondrio, composed of users, operators, and volunteers. A musical and human project that promotes inclusion, relationships, and belonging through music. Their performance will be an invitation to recognize ourselves, if only for one evening, as all “fragile” equals.
This week that is just beginning will thus be rich in initiatives in Sondalo aimed at gathering, creating authentic connections, and enhancing the role of local associations and services. An occasion to promote a culture of inclusion, listening, and participation, where art, music, and sharing become tools to build a more open, supportive, and aware community.
