From the peaks of mountaineering to the slopes of the valley floor, up to the Paralympics: “Olimpic Horizons. Circles of Stories and Champions” is a journey through sports that centers on passion, talent, and inclusion. A narrative made of exploits, faces, and champions who have marked the sporting history of the territory and continue to inspire new generations. Five circles, many stories, and three evenings of meetings, led by Stefano Faifer, scheduled at the Conference Room of the Cittadella dello Sport di Sondalo. Each appointment, with free entry, is dedicated to a different dimension of sport, exploring memory, excellence, and the future.

1) Thursday, February 12 | 8:30 PM

Classic and Modern Mountaineering: a Journey to the Olympic Circles

An evening tribute to Adriano Greco, a local from Sondalo and a pioneer of world ski mountaineering, to tell the story of the evolution of a discipline that was born in the mountains and now looks to the Olympic horizon. With the participation of Dr. Giulio Rossi, champions Francesca Martinelli and Roberta Pedranzini, and Katia Mascherona.

In collaboration with CAI Sondalo, Atletica Alta Valtellina, and Sports Medicine – Ospedale Morelli.

White Gold: mountains, snow, and legends of Valtellina

A tale dedicated to the champions featured in the exhibition “White Gold” in Valfurva and to Maicol Rastelli, an Olympic athlete from Sondalo in cross-country skiing. Alongside him Mirco Bertolina and other winter sports athletes, to relive exploits, sacrifices, and great emotions on the snow.

In collaboration with Polisportiva Le Prese, with contributions from Ivan and Ermanno Rastelli.

Beyond Limits: the Paralympic Spirit

An intense evening to celebrate the sport that overcomes barriers and prejudices, telling stories of determination and courage. Featuring Martino Pini and Leo Sette, handbike champions, and Giovanna Gareri, a Paralympic alpine skier.
With the participation of Dr. Luca Binda and Dr. Giulio Rossi.

In collaboration with the Spinal Unit and Sports Medicine – Ospedale Morelli.
