The summer festival in Sondalo is enriched with a new and original event: Saturday, August 23, 2025, marks the debut of the first edition of “SondaLOVE Beer”, an event that celebrates Valtellinese craft beer and local gastronomic tradition, in the heart of the historic center of Sondalo. Starting at 6:00 PM, participants will experience a journey through historic hidden courtyards and ancient alleys, discovering 8 stations: 4 dedicated to beer and 4 to the flavors of Valtellinese cuisine.

The featured beers

The itinerary includes 4 beer stands: at each, it will be possible to choose from two types offered, poured directly by the master brewers and UBT Unionbirrai Beer Tasters.

Stand 1: Mani di fata – Light Rye IPA 6% (Birrificio Revertis) – made with organic rye grown in Teglio and Cech Cost Lager – Light Helles 4.8% (Birrificio Legnone) – Gluten free

Stand 2: Stelvio – Light Lager 4.6% (Birrificio Reit) and WEIZEN – Light Weizen 5.3% (Birrificio Reit) – with Valtellinese buckwheat

Stand 3: 72 – Amber APA 6% (Birrificio Revertis) and Crasc – Black Stout 4.5% (Birrificio Pintalpina)

Stand 4: Murimani – Purple Fruit beer 5.5% (Birrificio Pintalpina) – made with raspberries and Molthoney – Golden Honey beer 6.2% (Mieleria Moltoni) – with forest honeydew

The gastronomic offer

Alongside the beers, 4 food stations will offer dishes made with Valtellinese ingredients:

• Board of “unique and non-typical” cold cuts and cheeses
• Valtellinese buckwheat gnocchi
• Valtellinese hamburger with rustic potatoes “with the monda”
• Panna cotta with dark beer jelly and crumble

Entertainment, music, art, and history

The itinerary will be animated by live music with Il Teo di Lecco, DJ sets with BeClub Bormio and Andre DJ, and the accordions of Alberto Canclini and Bepi Zen
Cultural moments will not be missing, with an exhibition of watercolors at the Church of Santa Marta and a special display of 60 vehicles including cars, motorcycles, and vintage license plates, in collaboration with the Valtellina Oldtimers association.

The big party in the square

Starting at 8:00 PM, the event will culminate with the Beer Party in the square, featuring the large Beertellina stand, bar, grill, and live music: on stage will be singer-songwriter Lorenzo Bonfire, followed by the Beerset signed “Duality” by BeClub Bormio.

Information and BeerPass

Access to the route is only possible with the BeerPass, which includes an official glass and shoulder strap, as well as tastings at the stands.
The BeerPass can be purchased at InfoPoint Sondalo, online at www.sondaloturismo.it, or directly on-site on the day of the event, until supplies last, at the price of €35.

Those who do not purchase the BeerPass can still participate in the square party, using the Beertellina stand, but will not have access to the beer and food stations along the route.

Organization

The initiative is organized by APT Sondalo, in collaboration with Beertellina (an association that brings together enthusiasts and Valtellinese craft breweries), with the support of APF Valtellina and Butéga Valtellina, and the participation of Associazione Li Simenza Sondalo, Sgangherati Frontale, Bar Palasport, along with support from public entities and private partners.
