On Saturday, July 19, Sondalo transformed into a true open-air festival with the eighth edition of Strakolor, the first colorful walk to land in Valtellina and now an unmissable summer event. The event, organized by APT Sondalo with the precious collaboration of local associations, was filled with participation and smiles.

More than 1,000 participants registered for the walk, and over 2,000 people were present at the Citadel of Sport, renamed for the occasion "Kolor Arena," creating an explosion of energy, laughter, and... a lot of color! Among the participants were many locals and numerous tourists vacationing in the area.

The festival started at 5:00 PM with the kick-off of the colorful walk from the green area of the multifunctional center. The route crossed the streets of Sondalo, enlivened by six Kolor Pit-Stops, with two "surprise" stops that delighted everyone: fresh ice pops and personalized gadgets with phrases dedicated to friendship and the joy of celebrating. All of this was managed enthusiastically by volunteers from local associations.

During the walk, games, dancing, music, and colorful clouds engaged both young and old. No timers or rankings: the only goal was to have maximum fun and experience something unique!

Once back at the multifunctional area, the fun continued in full swing! The little ones unleashed their energy in the amusement park with games and inflatables, while the older crowd danced and toasted at the aperi-kolor with Radio TSN, the event partner. The evening then heated up with the musical format "Duality" by BeClub Bormio, which warmed up the atmosphere in anticipation of the highlight moment with the energetic Da Brozz. The grand finale featured the closing party animated by resident DJs Lo and Fede, who energize many APT Sondalo events, in a festival-like atmosphere surrounded by lights, LEDs, and breathtaking graphics.

For those who needed to recharge their energy, there was the tent with a lot of delicious treats prepared carefully by kitchen volunteers: crispy sciatt, typical cold cuts, sandwiches, cutlets with fries, and – a novelty for 2025 – pizza baked in wood-fired ovens, which literally disappeared (a total of 600 pizzas baked!).

Another novelty for the 2025 edition: the live drawing, from the stage, of three prizes for upcoming events in Sondalo, with the support of Radio TSN, Mayor Ilaria Peraldini, the President of APT Sondalo Maria Gobbi Frattini, and the official mascot of Bormio, Taneda. A moment of celebration that also shone a spotlight on the upcoming Winter Olympics, which will see Bormio and Livigno in the spotlight, involving the entire territory of Alta Valtellina.

Strakolor grows year after year, becoming an increasingly beloved event. The President of APT Sondalo, Maria Gobbi Frattini, commented with satisfaction: “We are a young association, rich in enthusiasm and ideas, but above all with a strong desire to create authentic moments to be experienced together. Every event is born from the heart and the desire to offer our community – and those who choose Sondalo – true opportunities for sharing, joy, and participation: from festivals to sports activities, from culture to evenings for the little ones. Strakolor is not simply a party: it is an experience that unites, makes people smile, dance, and enjoy of all ages. Watching it grow so much fills us with pride, but we know very well that none of this would happen without the dedication of the volunteers of APT Sondalo, who dedicated their heart and time before, during, and after to ensure that everything was managed down to the smallest detail. A huge thank you also goes to all the volunteers of the associations in Sondalo and nearby towns, who enthusiastically and with team spirit lent a hand. And of course, heartfelt thanks to all the participants: you are the ones who made this edition so special, colorful, and unforgettable.”

Behind the success of Strakolor is a great team: more than 100 volunteers and numerous associations contributed with passion and dedication.
