RTR, the radio and television broadcaster of the Romansh Switzerland, celebrates the gastronomy of the province of Sondrio with four interviews dedicated to local specialties. “With this series, which we have titled The true cuisine of Valtellina, we thought to draw inspiration from the Olympic event to tell an important part of the Valtellinese culture, appreciating not only its genuineness but also its profound connection to the territory and history - explains journalist Sergio Guetg, responsible for the broadcast nossa cuschina -. On Wednesday, February 4th at 10:15 AM, from the RTR studios in Coira, the interview with the chef of the restaurant il Poggio di Poggiridenti, Mauro Gianola, dedicated to pizzoccheri will air on the RTR radio channel.

On Wednesday, February 11th, Giovanna Crescenzo, owner of Crotto Ombra di Chiavenna, will present  the polenta taragna.

On Wednesday, February 18th, Carlo Mazzoleni, president of the consorzio Storico ribelle, will illustrate the characteristics and success of the cheese from Orobie.

The series will conclude on Wednesday, February 25th with the interview with enologist Marco Fay on heroic viticulture.
