Shows, music, aperitifs, gourmet dinners, and the competitions on the big screen that everyone can attend.

February 5, 2026 - Two weeks and more to be lived intensely, celebrating Italian medals, having fun, and participating in the proposed initiatives: with the Winter Olympic Games in Milan Cortina, the Valtellina Winter Events also kick off today, which will animate Sondrio until February 22. The program set up by APF Valtellina and the Province of Sondrio, in collaboration with the Municipality of Sondrio and the Milan Cortina Foundation, with the support of Regione Lombardia, Bim, and the Chamber of Commerce, combines the excitement of Olympic competitions with animation and entertainment, offering a wide variety of proposals, including music, shows, food and wine, and sports.

The center of the event is Piazza Garibaldi, a symbolic space for the celebration of the Olympic event by the entire provincial Community, where a large tent structure has been set up, allowing everyone to come together to share days that will remain in the history of Valtellina. APF Valtellina and the Municipality of Sondrio were able to organize this challenging event only through great teamwork, thanks to the generous contributions of ideas and commitment from the leaders of the Sondrio and Valmalenco Tourist Consortium, the Wine Trail Association, the VUT Association, the ADS Polisportiva Albosaggia, the Pizzocchero Academy, the Trade Associations, Agriturismo La Fiorida, and the starred chefs of the province of Sondrio, all with the support of Creative Development by Simona Nava.

Starting tonight with the opening ceremony at 8 PM and then every day until 11 PM, both on the large screen set up in the square and in the external room dedicated to it, generously provided by the Grand Hotel della Posta, there will be live broadcasts of the Olympic competitions.

Numerous guests will entertain the public: gymnastics champion Juri Chechi, science communicator Valerio Rossi Albertini, showgirl Juliana Moreira, Zelig mime Simone Barbato, X Factor finalist PierC, television host Ellen Hidding, DJ Damante. It starts today at 7 PM with the aperitif buffet to together watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics and conclude the evening at 11 PM. Tomorrow, a spectacular torchlight procession is scheduled, starting at 6 PM from the walkway on the Cassandre, arriving in Piazza Garibaldi, where, in the tent structure, at 7:30 PM, taroz and vin brulé will be served. In the square, the disco show with hits and aerial performances in the "Dance and light show" at 8:30 PM, on the stage area. On Sunday afternoon, workshops with Leoscienza, and at 4 PM in the tent structure, science communicator Valerio Rossi Albertini will present while in the square, a Sand art show and baby dance are planned. On Monday 9, starting at 7 PM, Valmalenco Food Experience will be offered, upon reservation.
