After the great success of last year, the Municipality of Villa di Tirano, in collaboration with the theater company “L’Instabile” of Stazzona, is pleased to announce that the Polifunzionale will host on January 3 and 4, 2026, at 21:00, the new show by the famous theater group "I Legnanesi" entitled “Promessa d’amore”.

Since 1949, "I Legnanesi" have established themselves as interpreters of Italian theatrical tradition, offering the public the opportunity to spend a few hours in a spirit of serenity. The group's performances not only celebrate popular culture but also tell everyday and contemporary stories through genuine comedy. Their artistic proposal is distinguished by the use of a mix of Italian and Lombard dialect, which represents the unmistakable and inimitable hallmark of their style.

The actors present to the audience satirical figures of the typical Lombard court within which the stories of the “Colombo” family revolve, formed by Teresa, the courtyard woman played by Antonio Provasio, Mabilia, the adult daughter who has always been a "zitella", played by Enrico Dalceri, and Giovanni, Teresa’s husband, portrayed over the years by various actors and now brought to the stage by Italo Giglioli.

The plot of the new show by I LEGNANESI titled “Promessa d’amore” does not aim to be a modern reinterpretation of the most famous novel of all time: “I promessi sposi”, but rather a tribute to the profound analytical capacity regarding feelings of its author: Alessandro Manzoni, affectionately called “Lisander” by his Lombard friends.

This story is a journey into the deepest feelings, beginning with an incredible news announced by a sad and dejected Giovanni, and met with astonishment and uproar by an effervescent and always-in-shape Mabilia, and with uncontainable joy by a sparkling Teresa like we have never seen before!

Perhaps our spouses Teresa and Giovanni, due to a strange error in municipal paperwork, have never been married… can you imagine? What would your life be like if one day someone informed you that the person you believe you have been married to for more than 40 years has never been yours, or your spouse? Try to think about the impact this news could have on your life and that of your children!

A chaos, a bomb, an explosive mix of misunderstandings, surprises, funny gags, and twists will overwhelm us in a game of confused identities where everyone will play a role different from their own while remaining themselves, faithful to their feelings… confirming what Manzoni used to say: “the heart is a jumble”!

The direction of all the shows is entrusted to Antonio Provasio, the music and choreography to Enrico Dalceri, while the texts are signed by Mitia Del Brocco.
