Valtellina among the great protagonists of the Winter Olympic Games 2026
From February 6 to 22, 2026, the XXV Winter Olympic Games will take place.
Among the protagonists of this extraordinary event, with athletes from over 90 nations, there will also be Valtellina, which for the first time in its history will host numerous competitions in Bormio and Livigno.

Livigno, in the heart of the Alps, will host all the freestyle and snowboard competitions, both men's and women's, for a total of 26 medals up for grabs.
The competitions will take place in two locations:
Bormio will host two important Olympic disciplines: men's alpine skiing and ski mountaineering, the latter for the first time in the Games. There are 8 Olympic medals at stake.
With a length of 3,186 m, a vertical drop of 987 m, and slopes reaching 63%, the Stelvio slope is one of the most technical in the world. The following competitions will be held here:
