  • 200 g of rice
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 liter of whole milk
  • 1 knob of butter
  • Grana cheese, grated to taste
  • Nutmeg to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

👩‍🍳 Step-by-step Preparation

  1. In a large pot, bring the milk to a boil with:
    • 1 bay leaf
    • a pinch of salt
    • a sprinkle of nutmeg
    • and black pepper to taste.
  2. Peel the potatoes, cut them into small cubes, and add them to the boiling milk.
  3. At halfway through the cooking of the potatoes, add the rice and mix well.
  4. Lower the heat and continue cooking, stirring frequently to prevent the milk from spilling over or sticking.
  5. Just before turning off the heat, add a knob of butter and mix everything together.
  6. Serve the soup hot, with a generous sprinkle of grana cheese, grated.
