THE OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC TORCHES OF MILANO CORTINA 2026 EXHIBITED AT PALAZZO MALACRIDA FOR MORBEGNO IN CANTINA

The 2025 edition of Morbegno in Cantina, which opens today at 4 PM, is enhanced by two special guests: the Olympic and Paralympic torches of Milano Cortina 2026. A gift to the region from two of the Olympic venues, Bormio and Livigno, and to those participating in the Morbegno event. The symbols of the Olympics and Paralympics, conveying their profound meaning, will be on display during the first of the three weekends of Morbegno in Cantina, today from 4 PM to 10 PM, and tomorrow from 10 AM to 6 PM, at Palazzo Malacrida.

Access to the frescoed hall of the Renaissance gem of Morbegno, which will house the torches, is reserved for holders of the Giro Oro'26 pass, the most exclusive ticket that, not coincidentally, already in its name recalls the Olympic event, as well as to those who, in addition to the pass for one of the other three Tours, also purchase one to access "Peccato a Palazzo," to be experienced at the Malacrida. Ticket sales are open on the website www.morbegnoincantina.info: remaining tickets can also be purchased in Morbegno, at the station on via Pretorio.

The torch of Milano Cortina 2026 is called Essential, in honor of the minimal style that characterizes it, and was created by Eni, Premium Partner of Milano Cortina 2026, in collaboration with Versalis, Official Supporter of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. The two versions differ in color shade: both have a reflective and shimmering finish, with the Olympic torch in blue-green tones and the Paralympic torch in bronze. Eni and Versalis chose Studio Carlo Ratti Associati for the design development and Cavagna Group for the engineering and production of the torch and its components. The compact outer shell encloses the inner mechanism, revealing it through two vertical openings. The burner generates a natural flame and is designed to be reusable. The surface has various finishes, the last of which is a heat-resistant PVD coating. The color of the torch evokes the connection between man and nature, illuminated by the shades of the sky and earth that change with each hour.
