ANCIENT TRADES UL BUEE: HE DRIVED DRAFT ANIMALS

Ul buèe was a gentleman who owned a mule or donkey (the wealthier even a horse).

During the sowing period, they used these animals to plow the fields. On other occasions, they employed them for transporting goods.

The nickname buèe probably originates from the fact that, long ago, they used the ox to pull the other.

(A gentle contribution from Mariella of UILDM Sondrio: memories collected from her parents)
