The Comunità Montana della Valchiavenna and the Società Impianti Skiarea Valchiavenna, with the support of the two Consorzi Turistici, Madesimo and Valchiavenna, are bringing back for the winter season 2025/2026 the initiative Skialp Valchiavenna, the project entirely dedicated to lovers of ski mountaineering.
Two routes, night skiing in Madesimo and all day at Alpe Motta
Route 1
“SkiAlp by Night” every Wednesday evening starting from 07/01 until 08/04. The route is accessible from 19:00 to 21:30, ascent path marked in the area “Montalto” towards Alpe Groppera, return downhill by 22:30 on the illuminated Pianello/Montalto slope.
To recharge before your descent, you can stop at the Ristoro Larici for a delicious dinner or just for something warm at the bar!
🎿 EQUIPMENT RENTAL: the rental Buzzetti Sport will be open on Wednesday evenings from 19:00 to 23:00.
Route 2
“SkiAlp all Day”, snow conditions permitting: The route is available at Alpe Motta, in the area Marcadello, every day coinciding with the opening of the Motta-Serenissima chairlift (from 9:00 to 16:00). Once you reach the top station of the chairlift, the return is guaranteed by taking the Serenissima or Piani slope.
Ski mountaineering requires appropriate and legally mandatory equipment. HELMET MANDATORY FOR DESCENT
