Vette. Storie di sport e montagne is the new exhibition that will be inaugurated on Tuesday, January 27 at 5:00 PM at Palazzo Besta in Teglio (Sondrio).
The exhibition explores the relationship between sports, the alpine territory, and society in conjunction with the Winter Olympic Games and is part of the official program of the Cultural Olympics.
The exhibition is organized by the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Lombardy (Ministry of Culture) with the support of Regione Lombardia. The realization takes place in collaboration with the National Mountain Museum "Duca degli Abruzzi" in Turin and the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Veneto – National Museum Salce Collection.
Vette. Storie di sport e montagne will be visible until August 30, 2026. The exhibition features posters and Olympic memorabilia, as well as ethnographic materials, to offer a reflection on sports as a historical, social, and cultural phenomenon. The exhibition tells how sports have influenced the landscape, communities, and ways of living in the mountains.
Entry to the inauguration is free with mandatory reservation.
