🛒 Ingredients for 4 people
- 300 g of leftover polenta
- 100 g of granulated sugar
- 100 g of dark chocolate
- 50 g of white flour
- Grated zest of 1 lemon
- Powdered sugar or unsweetened cocoa, to taste for decoration
- Lard (or seed oil) for frying
👩🍳 Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix the leftover polenta with the sugar, flour, and grated lemon zest.
- Work until you have a compact, homogeneous, and easily moldable dough.
- Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 5 mm.
- Cut out regular shapes (squares, circles, diamonds...) with a knife or pastry cutter.
🔥 Frying
- Heat plenty of lard (or seed oil) in a deep pan.
- Fry the fritters a few at a time, until they are golden and crispy on both sides.
- Drain on paper towels to remove excess fat.
🍫 Final Decoration
- Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave.
